Here are some frequently asked questions (FAQs) about bouncy hairs and their answers.
Q1: RAINBOW, IS THE BOUNCE EVERLASTING?
Answer (a1): The truth is, no bounce lasts forever, bounce lasts between four months to 3 years+, it all depends on the nature of the bounce/curls (tight or loose curls).
Answer (b): it also depends on the nature of the hair. Single-drawn hairs don’t really hold bounce as much as double-drawn and super double-drawn hairs.
Answer (c): hairs with loose bounce/curls like spiral bouncy would lose bounce faster than those hairs with tighter bounce.
Hairs like magic bouncy are on average, the bounce are not too loose and also not too tight, so they tend to keep curl/bounce for a longer period of time (between 6months to 2years or more depending on how the bounce is maintained).
Hairs like magic bouncy are on the average, the bounce are not too loose and also not too tight, so they tend to keep curl/bounce for longer period of time (between 6months to 2years or more depending on how bounce is maintained)
Answer (d): hairs with tight curls such as funmi and Ragey bouncy would take a very long time for the curls/bounce to drop even when handled carelessly
Another thing is the texture of the hair , hairs with more coarse texture tends to retain bounce more than hairs of softer texture.
N.B: the reasons why the curls of bouncy hairs don’t last forever is because they are produced in the factory (man-made) no hair grows out from scalp as bouncy hair, but curly, wavy, straight and Body wave hair naturally grows out from the scalp. That is why their curls last forever.
N.B 2: An original (double drawn/Super double drawn)bouncy hair can never go straight even if the curls/bounce drops, it can only transition to a bouncy wave
Q2: RAINBOW HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY BOUNCY HAIRS TO PREVENT IT FROM LOOSING CURLS
Answer A: do not let water touch your bouncy hair, your bouncy unit loses curl immediately it comes in contact with water and after it dries, it would look more like a body wave hair and we don’t want that.
Answer B: bounce with more volume (300grams and above) tends to last way longer than bounce with less volume.
This doesn’t mean that 200g or 250g bouncy unit won’t last, it definitely will, but the more the volume of the bouncy hair the longer the bounce lasts.
Answer C: put your bouncy bundles on wigs; continuous installation and loosening of bouncy bundles, would make your bounce drop quickly.
But when you put your bouncy bundle on wigs it is easier to maintain.
Answer D: USING A SATIN BAG; any bouncy “WIG” ordered from rainbow comes in a satin bag, once you finish wearing your wig for the day, package it back in your satin bag, this helps to hold the curls of your hair firmly and drastically reduces the bounce dropping process, do not hang your bouncy hairs on a hanger or wear on a mannequin head when not in use, it would fasten the bounce dropping process.
Q3: RAINBOW, PLEASE MY BOUNCY HAIR IS NOT AS BOUNCY AS IT USED TO BE, WHAT DO I DO?
Answer: it needs to be recurled ! All you have to do is take your hair to an experienced stylist or let us know and we’d recurl your hair for you at a fee.
Q4: RAINBOW, WHICH PRODUCTS DO I NEED TO USE ON MY BOUNCY HAIR FOR MAINTENANCE?
Answer: Nothing, nothing should ever touch your bounce to avoid instant curl drop but, you can always put your wax stick on your closure area just to flatten your closure area and a little raw hair serum on the closure area and the parts of the hair that are not bouncy.
DO NOT PUT PRODUCTS ON THE BOUNCY PARTS!
